Ranee Harrison, a PhD candidate in the Albert Einstein College of Medicine pathology lab led by the late Fernando Macian-Juan, MD, PhD, Associate Director, Medical Scientist Training Program, and Professor, Pathology, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, was awarded a 2023 Minority Scientist Travel Grant by the American Association of Immunologists (AAI). The grant covered her travel expenses to attend and present at IMMUNOLOGY2023, the leading, annual all-immunology event worldwide, May 11–15, in Washington, DC.
Harrison presented her abstract, titled “Chaperone-Mediated Autophagy Modulates Regulatory T-cell Differentiation and Function,” for which she also was honored with the 2023 AAI Trainee Poster Award, given in recognition of posters judged to be exceptional by the AAI Abstract Programming Chairs.
