Montefiore New Rochelle and Montefiore Mount Vernon Hospitals last month received The Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval® and were designated advanced Primary Stroke Centers. They are the latest Montefiore Einstein hospitals to be designated as Primary or Comprehensive Stroke Centers by the New York State Department of Health.
To earn The Joint Commission certification—an internationally recognized symbol of quality—hospitals are required to meet rigorous performance standards to determine if they meet the agency’s measurements for high quality and safe healthcare delivery. The Joint Commission’s mission is to continually improve healthcare for the public.
“This achievement demonstrates our commitment to provide the highest quality care to stroke patients in our community,” said Shannon Wales, Manager, Quality and Regulatory Affairs, Montefiore New Rochelle.
